Teletherapy
Over the past year, I have also been utilizing video conferencing to do what is called "teletherapy". Many insurance companies will cover this kind of therapy. During the recent concerns about the coronavirus, many clients have been concerned about exposure, and so I have been utilizing it even more. I use a platform called "doxyme" which is compliant with concerns about security and confidentiality. Clients just need a computer with video and audio capabilities, and of course, good internet connection and speed. For self-pay clients, it is simpler because we don't have to be concerned with insurance coverage for teletherapy being available.
